7 Yoga Gifts - My Favorites!

1. Yogitoes - ($65)
These skidless, washable mat towels are great for someone who tends to get a little more sweaty than the average yogi. The more wet they get, the less slippery they become. There are a lot of different brands, but my favorite continues to be yogitoes.



2. A Mat With A Cause- ($40 - 80)
Having your own mat is a symbol of your commitment to the practice since it is what you lay down every time you begin your practice. Also, you don't have to worry about who else sweat all over it before you! yuck. It's wonderful to buy someone a mat, why not support an organization while you're at it. This Manduka mat - which supports Off the Mat, Into the World - is my personal favorite.

3. Yoga Apparel - ($35 - 80)
Okay, you've been practicing yoga for a while now. Your only pair of cotton pants is sagging in the crotch and smells like your uncles basement. But you absolutely refuse to spend $50 on a freakin' pair of sweatpants!! Trust me, just do it. It will be the best yoga money you've ever spent. My favorite brand is Zobha, but there are many choices.

4. A Private Yoga Session - ($65 - $95)
This is a great way to get some personalized attention for that pose that you've been working on, or to learn to modify for your specific body type. It's also fun to do a partner private where you can have a relaxed class with your honey. There are thousand wonderful teachers out there who would be happy to teach you, but of course, yours truly is my personal favorite. Okay, maybe I'm a little biased!



5. yoga 101 series - ($30 - 40)
The perfect gift for that someone who wants to take yoga but isn't quite ready to jump into the sweaty vinyasa class you take every week. These classes come in series and individual one-day workshops. They'll teach the basics, and they're fun. Go with your friend to support them (sometimes you get in free if you bring someone!). Yoga Mayu does a 4-week series but you can go to almost any yoga studio.

6. The Yoga Deck - ($10)
This handy little set shows 50 different poses that you can practice anywhere. Give it to a friend who doesn't always have time for a full class. It's cute, affordable, and full of interesting yoga knowledge. Buy it at pretty much any online bookstore.




7. Hanky Panky's - For Her ($20-35)
Okay, this one is only for that special lady in your life. But if you have one, these are hands-down the best little undies for exercising! They come in a hundred different styles, they're super comfortable, sexy and long-lasting. Let's face it, this is a gift for both of you!!
